Food and art for the soul
Hello and welcome! My name Emma Peters and I'm the artist behind Fruit Stand, a joyful shop celebrating art, food, and nature.
My story starts with my passion for art. I've always been an artist at heart, but life got in the way and I stopped creating work after college. But in 2020, something changed. I stumbled upon an iPad on Facebook Marketplace and decided to give my passion for art another chance. My first drawing was of a pear and it felt soooo good to be creating again.

My love for food and art started at a young age. My mother, Sydney, taught me how to cook and appreciate fresh produce as a child. This love for food is what inspired me to use fruits and vegetables as my medium. I'm fascinated by the beauty of nature and and the way food strengthens and heals relationships. It's these meaningful connections that I want to share with others.
My work quickly gained popularity on Instagram, and people started asking to buy prints of my art... and lift off! Fruit Stand was born. My hope is that my story encourages others to pursue what brings them the most joy. I believe that art should be accessible to everyone, and my goal is to make that happen through Fruit Stand. The process
Each print begins with inspiration from a specific fruit or vegetable. I then digitally sketch, paint, draw, and manipulate each layer in the drawing app Procreate. It's a delicate balance between a hand-drawn and digital look.
Social enterprise
Every business has a responsbility to incorporate sustainability, inclusivity and social impact into their work.
This is why Fruit Stand art is attainably priced. I donate a portion of profits to charities helping to end food insecurity and support healthy food access. Recent donations were sent to World Central Kitchen during the start of the Russo-Ukrainian War, No Kid Hungry and Food Forward. I report these annual donations on social media and emails for transparency.
Next up, farmer's markets & retailers
My newest project with Fruit Stand... selling in person at local farmer's markets and specialty good stores. Cheers to more in-person adventures and connections in 2024 and beyond!
